Personal History:
Captain Viking started flying Red Baron in October 2001 and transferred to the RAC in May 2002. He established himself as an integral part of the squadron's renowned Euroflight. An experienced and deadly fighter pilot and accomplished bomber, he is quiet and modest by nature yet feared by all opponents. Initially preferring the DrI, Viking took time to study the other available aircraft and became accomplished in the DVII and N28 in particular.
Viking was a member of RAC's winning RBWL VI team in 2005. Since then, hardware changes have resulted in his retiring from Red Baron flying. However, he is an extremely active IL2 pilot - probably the best the squadron has - and is keen to further the squadron's progress in that direction.
Whilst visiting the UK with his wife in 2005, Viking flew in a RBWL VI match via a router from Felix's house whilst on holiday. Questions, Maarvin and Lionman also flew that day - the only known instance of five pilots flying simultaneously in a competitive match from computers in the same room as each other.
